So B and I went to the courthouse and got married by a justice of the peace yesterday. I haven’t told my family yet (and none of them read this blog, so that’s fine). Though we love each other, it was kind of a shotgun wedding because I’m pregnant and B thought it was a good idea (it was going to happen anyway, just not so soon!). I have to figure out how to tell them, but it’ll be nice to hear the pitter-patter of little feet

Happy April Fool’s Day!
No, I’m not married. No, I’m not pregnant. But I do hear the pitter-patter of little feet. Well, it’s more like “ka-humph, ka-humph” as Skah goes running down the hallway with his huge paws to play with the cat or to try to elude us so he can get in the garbage.
This pup seriously has huge paws. I took him to the park on Saturday to meet one of my friends who brought her 68-pound beagle/shar-pei/something mix. Both he and Cody walked through a puddle and we couldn’t see the difference in paw prints. It was amazing.
Skah probably weighs around 18 or 19 pounds now. Maybe even 20… which would be a 4 pound gain in a week and a half. Sounds about right to me.
B was sick all weekend and is still hacking and sniffling. I think he had a touch of the flu but only had the fever for one day. His symptoms started out just like mine did three or four weeks ago when I got sick. So I’ve been sleeping in the guest bedroom so he doesn’t keep me up all night and so I don’t get it from him. With Sjogren’s Syndrome (see link to the right), my body is already fighting itself so my immune system isn’t always so responsive and I get sick easier. Luckily, I’m just getting over a flair so I don’t think my body is trying to attack itself right now and it’ll hopefully fight off whatever B brought in the house.
It was a lovely 60 degrees yesterday… first of the season. Too bad it was raining. Woke up today to about 55 degrees. Now, less than four hours later, it’s 37. We are supposed to get some snow tonight. Blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. This time last year, we were in the 80s and we had to mow lawn the first week of April. Of course, we had to mow it quickly because the first weekend in April brought us a snow storm. But still, we were mowing the lawns around here. The grass isn’t even green this year yet.
Ugh!
