Weather is a great metaphor for life – sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s bad, and there’s nothing much you can do about it but carry an umbrella.

It’s Wordless Wednesday again!

Hurricane Ike arrived in Michigan over the weekend.  Downtown Kalamazoo, courtesy of the local hospital.

  1. Omigoodness! That is an amazing sight! Hope the cleanup and aftermath are okay for all involved.

  2. I have no words – it’s tragic and beautiful at the same time! :-\

  3. Did someone leave a tap on?

  4. I posted a Ike in the midwest WW, too. I thought I was the only one.

Hope everyone was okay. We had flooding and few casualties here in St. Louis.

  5. A very powerful storm!!! Happy WW

  6. I guess we are lucky down here in Wayne county. We got nothing like that!

  7. Oh no! Where’s a boat when you need one?

  8. Wow! We’re in GR and I didn’t see flooding like that – although we had a ton of rain. That’s incredible!

  9. Yikes! It wasn’t pleasant around here either. We had really high winds and about 200k people lost power…

  10. It’s amazing how many people were effected by the hurricane. Thankful my family was safe and out of it.

  11. Oh my…breathtaking photo!!!

  12. Hard to find words because it is so tragic yet i can`t help but look.

We get cyclones in Australia sometimes but haven`t had one that did a lot of damage in a long time.

  13. Sad it’s nice to know you are safe.. see mine if you can thanks..

  14. oh my god thats terrible! but a great picture, completely deserted of course. i wonder how they get everthing back to normal again

  15. Wow! Great photo….those storms..leaving some beauty along with devastation.
